hunt182644 Posted November 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2006 We have two cabins booked on the Coral Princess. They are aft on the Baja deck, outside balcony just across from elevator and stairs. Any help about noise level ,in the rooms would be appreciated. Also can anyone give me info, about approx. length and width of these cabins. This will be our first cruise to Alaska, and even if we have to sleep standing up we cant wait. newmexicoNita Posted November 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2006 We have had cabins directly across from the elevators about 3 or 4 times and only had one slight problem. It was Thanksgiving week a few years ago on the Connie. Still not a big problem but because of so many families on board sometimes we were aware of kids getting ready to use the elevator. Again, it certainly wasn't a big problem. NMnita
Desert Cruisers Posted November 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2006 It really depends upon the individual. People don't always realize how their voices carry while waiting for an elevator or going down a hallway. If you are a light sleeper, it may bother you. If you can sleep through anything, then it's not a problem.:)
TicTac#2 Posted November 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 13, 2006 I think the OP answered the questions about the noise level. As far a the size of these cabins, the deck plan shows them to be beteen 217-248 square feet. (including the balcony) so that would make the cabin about 12 by 18 (give or take). Cabins are not huge, but they work fine for two people. Some ships have much smaller cabins (140 square feet). On your next cruise you can pick out somthing that fits better if you feel the need for more space. Enjoy your cruise.
hunt182644 Posted November 13, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted November 13, 2006 Thanks for the replys, this helped answer the question about noise level. Also on cabin size , This was about what we thought. It should be large enough, as we dont plan to spend much time in cabin. Thanks again
