ja940 Posted November 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2006 We are booked on the Jewel 12/24/06 and paid in full. We also have reserved the Brilliance 6/2/07 - 12 day Med cruise with a deposit only. Is there something we can do on-board our first cruise in December to get discounts for the June cruise? The only real advantage to booking on board is the on-board credit you receive. For your 12-ngt cruise, you'll get $200.00 on-board credit. But, the booking has to be made while on board another RCI cruise.
Sheffie Posted November 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 14, 2006 You can book it on board and then cancel your already booked cruise. (We did this a couple of years ago.) Booking a specific cabin can be the problem if you already have THE one that you want booked. It might work that when you get home you cancel your current booking, releasing that cabin, and then have RCI (or your TA) immediately grab it back for you. Coralc Posted November 15, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 15, 2006 It would also depend if the price of the Med cruise had increased since you booked it. If the price has gone up $100 or more p/p then there is no incentive to book/rebook it onboard. The booking credit is only $200 per cabin. :)
