Is it far from Airport to Ship in SanDiego?

And there are many nearby hotels with waterview and shuttles to pick you up at the airport and take you to the ship, if you should choose to spend some time in San Diego. It's a beautiful city with lots to do, and very easy to get around to see the sights.

When/if we win the lottery, we plan to move there.

Enjoy your cruise.

Agree with everyone else.

You really need to go in a day or two early and see the city. If you get a hotel right at the pier -- ask for a room facing the bay so you can watch your ship come in the next morning.

Lots of things within walking distance -- Midway -- Seaport Village -- Horton Plaza.

Take a bus to the zoo.

The distance is less than 2 miles. I know of some who have walked from the airport to the ship, rolling their luggage behind them. The city bus leaves every 10-15 minutes and costs $2.25 one way. Taxi fare is between $8-12 depending on traffic (there are many traffic lights along the way).

The view is fabulous, and the boardwalk is very accessible once you exit the parking lot either to the south from terminal #1 or to the west from terminal #2.
