Where Celebrity docks: Cork, Dublin, Cornwall?

Hi Folks,

Does anybody know where Celebrity ships, or other cruise ships, dock (or anchor & tender) for the ports of Cornwall, Dublin, and Cork?

Somewhere in the Falmouth Harbor makes sense for Cornwall, but making sense doesn't always mean much! (And Falmouth Harbor is actually one of the largest harbors in the world).

Somebody mentioned that the Titanic Museum is "right next to" where we dock in Cork; but the Titanic Museum seems to actually be in Cobh, some little distance away from Cork City (although it is in Cork County).

Does anybody know of a web site that answers such questions? Cruise Critic seems to have VERY LITTLE on these ports!

Thanks - Jon

We docked in Falmouth and they did tours from there to Cornwall ...we just went into town and looked around...Falmouth is a good size and lots of shops

Dublin ...we docked not far from town we took the ship's shuttle in but many just shared a cab it was only 10-15 minute away.

They have HOHO bus there ....plus it is a good walking town

Enjoy the cruise

in Dublin you will dock in the commercial port and most cruise ships run a shuttle in to the center of Dublin near Trinity College. In Falmouth, most Celebrity ships tender rather than dock - you should find that information on the itinerary for your cruise in the cruise booklet. Ships do not dock in Cork; the dock in Cobh which is the port for Cork and about 45 minute bus ride from the center of Cork. There is also train service between Cobh and Cork,

Cobh is a very pretty little town with the houses on the hillside all different colors...it mainly has restaurants and it is where the Titanic sailed from. We took the bus tour for the scenic drive and Blarney Village. It was a nice 3 1/2 tour. Blarney Village was a nice place to shop and didn't seem too expensive.

You're going to love Ireland no matter what you do!

We used a private tour from hollowaytravel.com which allowed us to see a lot of the countryside and do a little shopping, eating and drinking. John Hennessey was our driver and the owner, Seamus tailored the tour to what we wanted to see and do. Wonderful experience even in the rain and cold.
