Cruising Illini Posted December 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2006 Just learned "from a reliable source" that Mr. Lanterman is still in the hospital and in addition to the serious heart attack has had pneumonia. He has been in an "induced" coma for almost two weeks and just yesterday was awake and recognized faces. Let us pray that he can soon be on the mend and enjoy his retirement. Krazy Kruizers Posted December 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2006 Thank you for the update. Very serious when you get pneumonia at that age and already having problems. Wish him and his family well.
sail7seas Posted December 1, 2006 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2006 I heard the same information yesterday. We send Mr. Lanterman and his family all the very best wishes for a good recovery. Not the way he hoped to begin his retirement.

Rare Copper10-8 Posted December 1, 2006 #7 Share Posted December 1, 2006 Just in case someone is interested: "The family asked that no gifts or flowers be sent, but would welcome cards and good wishes. Cards can be addressed to Kirk Lanterman at Holland America Line, 300 Elliott Ave. West, Seattle, Wash. 98119. Email messages can be sent to the line's public relations department at PR@hollandamerica.com, and they will be forwarded to Janet Lanterman"
