What to do in Ft. Lauderdale

Hi,

 

I will be arriving in Ft. Lauderdale around noon on 03/12 for a cruise that begins on 03/13.

 

Does anyone know if the Carrie B sightseeing cruise is any good? I am in a power wheelchair. I have corresponded with the Carrie B. company through email. They say that they are wheelchair accessible. Can anyone confirm or deny that?

 

Does anyone have any suggestions of how best I could spend my afternoon in FLL?

The Carrie B would be a fine way to spend some time. Going around the Intracoastal is a great way to see some of the beautiful homes and yachts that define Fort Lauderdale as America's Venice. "Go to sea in the Carrie B"

The water taxi is also another way to tour the intracoastal. You can pick it up at various restaurants and hotels on Las Olas I believe.

Thanks for your responses. It is always "uncertain" to say the least when a company says they are wheelchair acessible.
