we arrived at the terminal last Sat(12/9) at 11:30am. We had our boarding passes checked right away and we were allowed into the terminal. On the way in, the porters take your luggage and the next time you see it is in your room. Inside the terminal, check-in lines are set up by decks. We were in line at 11:50am and they started checking the people in at 12:05. We were on the ship and in our cabin by 12:12pm. Naturally, we went right up to the buffet!!

Unfortunately, you just can't count on past experiences. We've had ship boarding delayed quite a few times, most recently on the Island Princess because they were sanitizing the ship. It isn't always comfortable waiting, either. Lots of people stood in line in the sun for a LOOONNNGGG time and weren't at all happy about it.
