Hi, gosh no....I also cruise solo all the time:) I love it.

Can do what I want, when I want.....and being bored?

You can be if you want to be....but I have never

had that happen.

Have a wonderful time:)

My first cruise was by myself but I met so many nice folks on the cruise and had such a good time I felt like there were only benefits to cruising alone. (Getting the entire bathroom to yourself is a GREAT thing LOL).

I can say I was never bored. There were shows, movies, pool and hot tubs, eating (of course), game room time, and the list goes on and on. Find the roll call for your trip and get to know some folks before you sail. Get onboard and sign up for any of the activities that interest you. Be open to conversations with what my seem like strangers but may turn out to be life-long friends.

Most of all ENJOY!!!!!

I guess that if you are quite shy as well as on your own there is a slight possibility but if you start chatting to fellow passengers then no. And the best bit is that you can chat to different people each night. I find that solo cruisers often tend to be most known on the ship as opposed to group travellers who tend to just stick together..

If it's quiet or I stay onboard at a port I often chat to the crew, the last cruise I was chatting with the staff-captain and that night he was off-duty and bought us all drinks! :)

Nope. There's always tons of things to do. There are a lot of ways to meet people, but I think you should assume that there are times you will be alone. If you are the type of person that is not comfortable being alone, it could be a problem traveling solo.

HI!!

The majority of my sailing are solo (mainly due to the time and money). A smile and Hello will go a long way. You will run into some gumps, but don't let it ruin your day.

I suggest the you join in the various happenings on the ship. Go to the solo sailers functions. Go to dinner. The majority of the cruiselines will place you will other solo travlers.

The one great thing about sailing solo is when you want alone time, no one is there to lay the guilt trip on you.

Have fun, I know that I will in April!!

Are you bored on land? No difference. If you enjoy travelling by yourself it is what YOU make it, not someone else. I have always had a relaxful, stress-free time by myself. Not someone hanging over your shoulder in the casino saying I ought to stop gambling, not someone dictating which show I should go to, when I should eat, when I should nap, whether I should go off the ship to explore, whether I should have another drink, etc. You get out of it what you put into it.
