slotaddict Posted January 29, 2007 #77 Share Posted January 29, 2007 Thanks for all the updates and pictures! But, what is above the bed on the wall? It looks like a cubby or small cabinet on each side of a picture?? There is a cabinet on either side of the bed on the wall. :)

Rare Radio Posted January 29, 2007 Author #79 Share Posted January 29, 2007 Hello everyone! Today was a very pleasurable, relaxing, but uneventful day! The weather was perfect! The sun was shining. I took a ton of photos, and relaxed on the beach. I returned to the ship at 3… (Hey… wait a minute…that is what I do at every port!) I needed to shower and prep for the Captains Club Backstage Tour (for Select and Elite. I was concerned because all of the forecasts’ that I read called for showers all day….Wow, I guess I was lucky. Here is what is happening today…Today’s Movies in the Cinema are “North Country”, and “The Constant Gardiner” Tonight the Celebrity Theatre will host “Jamaica’s #1 Comedienne- Matilda”, with Acrobatic Duo Act. At 10:30PM there will also be the Newlywed, Not so Newlywed Game Show. That should be a hoot! Tonight is also the Tropical Island Night that starts at 11PM (The Crew was bringing dozens of large palms onboard for the event) I will post a few pics from today, but there are many more on my Cruise Photo Page. I will post many more, when I return.I have several dozen more to upload, plus provide captaions for all of the photos. Thanks for all of the nice comments, and Thanks for tuning in… Radio The Beautiful Celebrity Century Margaritaville ! Tagoladad Posted January 30, 2007 #81 Share Posted January 30, 2007 I am leading a group of nine people (my wife's family) on the Century for the 2/19/07 sailing and I have two words for you..."You rock". I always provide a very detailed trip report when I return from a cruise, but I 've never done anything like this. The "live" report is fantastic. Keep up the great work and thanks for all the advice.
Rare Germancruiser Posted January 30, 2007 #82 Share Posted January 30, 2007 Hi Radio, thank you from cold germany, great pics, great report. They ( X) should give you a free cruise for leting us " cruise with you" . I think after all this pictures I will choose Century for my this years Europe- Cruise. Do you kow if the casino has my favorite " Free Play" Machines???? They are on all Milli- Class and Radiance Class Ships , but I am not sure about the Century? Thanks a lot. Happy cruising and good luck in the Casino! Greetings Michael

emcee207 Posted January 30, 2007 #84 Share Posted January 30, 2007 We're booked this cruise leaving Feb 10. This will be our fourth cruise, all on Celebrity Constellation, looking forward to the change with the new Century. I should know the answers to these questions but....... 1. We were a late booking (last weekend) and went for a guarenteed balcony. Yesterday we were assigned Cabin 8180, near aft elevators. Not thrilled with the selection tho......adjoining cabin...don't mind that really but we're not sure what it means by "one upper berth"???? What is that really? It's just the two of us and the thought of having some "upper berth" doesn't thrill me. 2. We have a 12:15 flight out of Ft Lauderdale. Is that going to be a problem? I figured with a 7am arrival and being on a Thursday we'd be okay but now getting nervous.... Sorry to take up space on Radio's GREAT thread with these rookie questions. patross Posted January 30, 2007 #85 Share Posted January 30, 2007 emcee207- I can answer one of your questions. An upper berth is another bed that is attached to the wall. It folds into the wall, and unless opened, it is not in the way. Some cabins have two. This means you can have a third person in the cabin. Hope this helps! signman Posted January 30, 2007 #86 Share Posted January 30, 2007 Louis & Margo. I got off on Saturday and was one of the last off. I was on the curb with my luggage by 9 AM. Ship tied up before 5:30.
Rare Radio Posted January 30, 2007 Author #87 Share Posted January 30, 2007 Hello everyone… We arrived to the Georgetown, Grand Cayman Harbor at about 6AM, We were anchored by around 6:30M. There are several ships scheduled to join us in Grand Cayman today, including Grandeur of the Seas, Carnival Miracle, Disney Magic, Star Princess, and NCL Majesty. All have arrived except Majesty. I am under the weather a bit, so I might wait awhile before debarking. The weather is nice. It is a little cloudy, but warm at 84f. We are directly in front of the Tender terminal, so we might be able to be viewed via the Grand Cayman web cam (sorry, I will try to find the link) Once I tender ashore, my plan is to visit 7 Mile Beach, do some shopping, and maybe find an internet café. Some Century Comments: Those of you who have sailed Century (Prior May 06), I’m sure remember the Hemisphere Lounge on deck 11. That has been reduced by about 30% due to the addition of the Extreme Teen Center. On the Left (Port) side is the Entrance to the Extreme teen center, with large flat screen TV’s, sound system, internet café, and Video Games. On the right side is the entrance to the Hemisphere Lounge which has been upgraded with new furniture, carpeting, and art work. It is very nice. The Arcade room used to be on deck 12 aft. That has been replaced by brand new Sky Suites, and Sunset Verandah Cabins. emcee207... I will try to get some cabin pics of (1 Upper Berth) balcony cabins on Deck 8 Here are a few pictures of our arrival. Thanks for tuning in. . . Can you check to see if the Karaoke disc jockey can play CD's brought from home? Also, does he have any Carrie Underwood songs on his playlist? (Or Kelly Clarkson?) Thanks. Keep up the good work. Cruise Shmooze Posted January 30, 2007 #100 Share Posted January 30, 2007 Let me add my thanks to you, Radio, for the great reports and pictures. A question for you please: we'll be on Century next week and have arranged to meet a tour company at 9:00 am next week in Georgetown for Sting Ray City. Since this is not a ship excursion, will we be able to tender in on time? Thank you.
