I am worried that there will be a noise issue from activity out and around the pool area. also, with Carnival, are the ship cabins the same on each class. Thanks for any advice

~Debbie

the cabins are exactly what you see on the web site.

You should not get noise from the activity from around the pool area. if directly under that area-- you could get noise from chair scrapping.

This seems an odd location, I wonder if anyone has been in this one?

I dont understand what is odd about the room.

You have to go out glass doors in order to hit the pool area. (see those lines on the deck plan-- its a tier seating area.

see that guy in the grey shirt-- thats where the door is located to your cabin

Has anyone stayed in this cabin & can tell me about it? The TA assures me that "the lifeboat in front of the cabin doesn't really block the view." Is that so? This is our first cruise & we want to have everything work smoothly & quietly. Thank you for whatever you can tell me!

9202 is a long walk to the food/pools- but you are situated by a public deck that you can use as your balcony- People can be out there-- but not many people know about it. between your two choices-- 9202 is the better one

There are other cabins available too-

2401.

2389 2331 all good choices. 2401 is the better choice .

Hi Serene,

I have 9202 booked on the Conquest, I picked the better one by accident:) Can you tell me why 9202 is the better one? Thank you!

5230 is between two lifeboats-- so you do have some kind of view.

Is this a 7A? the lifeboat comes to the railing.

the balcony is very narow.

This room is located right near the intersection of 3 hallways and there is lots of loud traffic as it is right above Casino and near the Coffee Shop.

My biggest complaint was that there was a heavy door slamming several times an hour and I thought it was my neighbors until I left my door open to talk with them, hear the slamming and realized no one was there. I heard the slamming a few more times yet my neighbors did not go in or out. It was coming from below. I was above a pivate area of the casino offices and this slamming door woke me up several times during the night. About 4am several nights it slammed over 7 times. The sound was only there when the casion was open and I reported it to the front desk and they investigated and said that they may have discovered the problem with a door. It was quiet one night but then it started up again the next night as soon as the Casino opened. By this time I just accepted it and was getting used to the slamming as I am not a light sleeper.

NEED HELP ON ????

Has anyone stayed in Cabin 8410 aft on the freedom of the seas?

What does the single door look like?

Is there a another window?

Can you share any pic?

What are the pro & cons of this room? I'm thinking about changing to a side balcony room due to the lack of light.

Thanks for the help

go through the above album. Although the Voyager and the freedom ar different class ships-- the cabins will be almost identical.

Bonnie Voyager did a world class job on the aft cabins/balconies on the ships.

The balcony is huge compared to the side balcony.

Will you spend more time on a balcony or in the cabin.

If the lack of light is a problem--turn the lights on. Although I do not understand what you mean by lack of light?

Anyone been in one of these cabins - looks more square than retangle It is in the middle of the floor.

Did anyone respond to this? I'd love to know the arrangement! Please take a photo or two and let me know as we are booked for the adjoining rooms on a different cruise. Less than a month for you. Have fun!

I found some photos....from a search on the web as well as a search on here. It is not the exact room number, nor the exact ship, but it IS enough to give you an idea!

The best link is the one I provided. Hope this helps you!

I am a little concerned about soot and view in our aft balcony. I have read some bad things about the aft balconies on deck 7 on Liberty.

Anyone have any pictures or reviews?

You may have sailed by now but we just returned from a great cruise on the LOS but we did not enjoy JS 7412. In fact we were upgraded from a midship balcony on deck 10 and it was a BIG mistake. There is a lot more motion in the aft, the movement never stopped. There is an obstuctive view which I was NOT told about, lots of structural railings, etc. not to mention the crew took smoking breaks on deck 5 and the smoke came right to our balcony. Needless to say we were practically never out there. The porch furniture was old, dirty and a complete embarrassment for RCI to use on a suite balcony. My sons each had JS on deck 10, had larger rooms and brand new furniture on their balconies.

I will NEVER stay in an aft cabin again even if it is an upgrade.

Has anyone stayed in cabin 6275 & 6277 on the Conquest? I have these two rooms booked in May.

We were in 6363. It was above a band and was very noisy...you could hear every note and feel every beat on the floor. I don't know how far away you are. If you will close down the party every night you won't be bothered.

They are located by the forward elevators- any photo you see of a balcony cabin is what you can expect you cabin to look like. You are above the shops

You were in the one cabin that I tell people to avoid on this deck. It is situated right over the band that sets up across from the casino bar. the band does not start playing until 9pm and plays into the wee hours. You will hear this band along the corridor of this cabin. A few cabins in either direction would have been a better choice.

Being over a lounge is not a bad thing--BUT if you choice a cabin over a stage area of that lounge you will get noise.

Thank you for the response. I am assuming that the noise level will not be bad there? i was a little concerned if we would be able to hear the elevators or the traffic from that area.

We used to book aft balconies for the bigger balconies but they are now out of our budget.

I NOW prefer a cabin located by the elevator and had booked 7411 on the past two cruises.. and have the same cabin on the next two cruises.

the elevators make dings that are quiet..and most times you really gotta be listening for them even when standing waiting for one.

Aft elevators are more busier then the forward ones- this is where the food/pools are located.
