It is 12:40 p.m. San Juan time. Our paperwork has a little conflicting info. One paper says boarding starts 1:00 p.m. the other says 2:00 p.m. We would like to avoid hugh crowds if possible we were thinking of going to port about 2:30. Any suggestions???

On 1/20 we arrived at the pier at about 11:00. People were still disembarking and the porters were busy with them, about 10 minutes later, the porters were available, and took our luggage. We were allowed inside about 11:30, and they started checking people in about 11:50. We were able to actually board about 12:30.

Hope that helps.

We sailed 1/27 on the Crown and arrived at the pier around 9am and dropped our luggage at a place Called "Audio _ _ _" directly across from the pier for I believe $3/bag. Then went to tour El Morro fort...returned around 12pm to begin embarkation process and ended up in very long lines and did'nt get on board until after 1pm. It's hard to predict crowds but if you wish to avoid any lines I'd suggest arriving anytime after 1pm..
