Galveston Parking Options - need advice

Hi folks,

 

I'm considering renting a car at IAH for our upcoming cruise on the Grand. I see folks talking about parking at the cruise terminal, but was wondering if that has to be booked in advance of arrival or not. If so, how do I contact them (anyone have a name or web site), and does anyone have any idea about the cost. Is it quick and easy to get to your car upon disembarkment. Thanks in advance. Mike

There are two parking options:

 

EZCruise

I've not used the Port parking, but I have used EZCruise twice. It is convenient and they run frequent shuttles.

You can even have your car washed on the day you get back if you want,although if you're renting that would be a waste, I guess. We live in the Houston area and used EZ Cruise for our last Carnival cruise..

Do you know which would be quicker to get you to your car after the cruise? If I stick with the 12:25pm IAH flight, I will need to do express walk off and get out as quickly as I can. Thanks, Mike

Both are within blocks of the pier. EZ Cruise was very fast. Kind of like getting a rent car van at a busy airport. I can't speak for the city sponsored pier.
