What is the name of the hotel in Charleston that allows parking while you are on a cruise? We are booked on NCL Majesty out of Charleston to Bermuda in November and will need a hotel the night before the cruise.

Thanks.

We stayed at the Wingate Inn, in North Charleston. Safe location near Tanger Mall.

Nice deal from them: free parking, 2 queen beds, complimentary cocktails 5-7, free round-trip shuttle to port, free breakfast............all for 99.00. You have to book directly with the hotel. Susan was our contact.

Thanks, John. I'll check out the Wingate.

Just a question, why would you spen $100 to stay 20 minutes from the port, when for the same price you could stay 5 minutes from the port in a much nicer area?

Free cocktails , 2 queen beds accomodate 4, and free round-trip shuttle to port. The mall is very nice, too.

Wasn't trying to be rude. You could go to the mall anytime.

The week that we went they started a different system, and were no longer allowing hotel shuttles on the pier. This means that you have to claim your luggage, go through customs, form another line to get on a shuttle, load your luggage on to the shuttle's trailer then claim your luggage again at the parking warehouse and then go outside and wait for your hotel shuttle for your 20 minute ride to your hotel. After having to go through those lines it was nice not having to wait for a hotel shuttle like many were.

The hotel I stayed in was $89 very nice 2 queen beds, and a hot breakfast, right off the bridge. If someone is traveling with children or people with limited mobility, I would highly suggest paying for parking.
