washers and dryers

Recommended Posts

No, none of RCI ships have self service laundry. But the laundry service they provide is VERY cheap and worth it to not have to do your own.

Here is the link to the prices.

No. I don't know of any RCCL ships with washers and dryers. Princess is one of the very few lines with washers and dryers.

Actually, RCI is one of the few without. Carnival, princess, hal. I believe they all have them as well as some others.

Nope, no washers or dryers, but they do have laundry service. It's right up there with everything else you pay dearly for that's not included.

We do take advantage of the service for a few things, much better than packing everything you need for a week. We spend around $20 - 30 a week (family of 4) on laundry.

Some may think it's too much, but we don't buy junk souvenirs, lots of alcohol (other than wine with dinner ;) ), soda cards, bingo or the casino, we rarely use the spa. So, our seapass card isn't that high.

I suppose we all have to do what is important for ourselves :)

Very cheap is a matter of opinion. Just to wash what I would wear for one run would be over $7.00. A weeks worth of running would cost just about $50.00. I can wash a weeks worth of running clothes at home for about $2.00 in water, detergent and electricity.

If you brought about $0.50 worth of detergent in a small plastic bottle, you could just wash out your tank top and shorts (nylon ones dry real fast) in the sink each day.

Hello Ocean Boy, I'm an Ocean Stater too. Have you ever been to Pancho's or Arturo's before they burned?

I agree, there are some things that just don't mind totally splurging on! Laundry isn't one of them. LOL I also bring along the Tide packets, and do my unmentionables and perhaps a favorite pair of shorts or two.

I have packed so lightly, that I don't have what I need, and so much so that I have not used a whole suitcase worths of clothes. Getting ready for my 12 day, I anticipate bringing a fair amount of stuff, esspecially since I don't have to fly to get there. So, I will most likely have enough to wear, but I wear several of the same items more than once. And, like Ocean Boy, I do work out, so I have to wash my sweaty clothes, at least every other day. <Phew> LOL

Yup... you are right... I could. I don't like washing stuff out in the sink the same way others here have no desire to use a self serv laundry.
