Puntarenas tour guides?

Has anyone every done a private tour guide in Puntarenas? Seems like all the ones on this site are for Limon. :confused:

We did our tour with Charlie Soto 12/31/07 and he was great. It was the best tour during our 16 day cruise.

I was having the same problem as you--lots of information on cruises out of Limon but not much for Puntarenas. Carol has given me some interesting choices. If you end up touring with them, please let us know how you liked it.

I'm debating whether to prebook with an independent tour operator or wait until I go onto the ship. I can see the more popular tours being booked early but I also can see there being more variety if you wait. Any suggestions? I"m thinking of booking Charlie Soto for Costa Rica and waiting to book Celebrity tours if I go for the remaining ports. Any experience on Aruba, Cabo, Huatelco (?sp) and Acapulco in terms of X tours vs independent tours?
