SC_Sam Posted February 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2007 Go anywhere near the art auction (even for a minute) Any excursion that involves a bus ride (think Cozumel to Tulum) And you? (Giving credit where credit is due, I saw this on the Carnival board, had a good laugh, and thought it would interesting to start here, as well. Here's the original: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=496274) Happy travels to all.
cb at sea Posted February 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2007 I agree about the art thing--I wouldn't do it at home, why the hell would I wasted HOURS sitting inside while someone tries to sell me something?????? NUTS! The bus ride, too----I can't think of much more miserable! (Except maybe, bingo??) Give me a beach anyday!!!!

jakedoc Posted February 16, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2007 I would not drink CC and water and then go volunteer for the Almost Newlywed game. I would not book a cabin right next to the anchor chain locker.

nlcentralchmps03 Posted February 16, 2007 #7 Share Posted February 16, 2007 Agh! I always like a nap before dinner time. Although, I don't like sleeping on a cruise, I always feel like I am missing something!
beezbaby Posted February 16, 2007 #8 Share Posted February 16, 2007 I will not pack all my clothes on the last night except for my little nightie and forget to leave clothes out the next morning and thus have to wear my husband's boxers and shirt off the ship and then get dressed waiting for the taxi. benolathe Posted February 16, 2007 #10 Share Posted February 16, 2007 I will not pack all my clothes on the last night except for my little nightie and forget to leave clothes out the next morning and thus have to wear my husband's boxers and shirt off the ship and then get dressed waiting for the taxi. LOL - that's a good one. On our first cruise, my husband forgot to leave shoes out and had to walk off the ship in 'stocking' feet. :p hmm ... what would I NOT do again??? Share an inside cabin with my husband and two children! For Alaska, we are getting two cabins - a balcony for us and an interior across the hall for the kids. :D
chef_christoph Posted February 16, 2007 #11 Share Posted February 16, 2007 I'll never leave my book and towel on my deck chair so I can go back to my room to have a glass of the wine I smuggled on board while I use my travel iron to get the wrinkles out of my jeans so I can wear them to formal night.:D
Joe Cruise Posted February 16, 2007 #12 Share Posted February 16, 2007 I will not waste 20 minutes (and 10 dollars) signing into email on the "high speed" connection. Those emails can wait...Let me soak up more sun!
zantedeschia Posted February 16, 2007 #13 Share Posted February 16, 2007 Go anywhere near the art auction (even for a minute) But art auctions are good for free champagne! Any excursion that involves a bus ride (think Cozumel to Tulum) Longest bus ride I had was across to the other side of Belize to the Xutanamech Mayan ruins. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke quite at length about the Mayan culture. Was way cool.
reney313 Posted February 16, 2007 #14 Share Posted February 16, 2007 Never take my debit card as only payment with me to Mexico (Cozumel) especially a far away beach club only to find out my Credit Union as "stopped all charges from Mexico". Scorpiorose Posted February 16, 2007 #15 Share Posted February 16, 2007 Ah yah the champagne at the art auction was what made it fun and thus.....I was willing to make a fool of myself.....and thus won a free print! I would not, However, believe the art auction ppl who say their stuff is worth 10's of 1000's of dollars - it isn't we checked with gallaries  You don't get a "deal" at sea! I would not........be afraid to smuggle booze... I would not be afraid to book a private excursion I would not rush ANYWHERE! Tenders, dinner..... I would not buy every picture they took, I limit now to 2 (or more;) ) I would negotiate price in port and walk away if it isn't the price I want I would not be afraid to make a fool of myself again, many did on our last cruise and won more free stuff! I would not necessarily listen to the cruise "shopping" expert - I think they aren't always correct - buyer beware - especially in ports. Ditto the cabin by the anchor....... I would not expect it all to be perfect.... what else ppl? :)

I ditto looking at the Sea Pass charge. |Definitely do not do it even during the cruise...hubby might have lied on casino charges and it's not fun to be mad at him during the cruise. That can wait until you're home. LOL.

Turk Posted February 16, 2007 #20 Share Posted February 16, 2007 Touch the hand rails on the stairs and get sick the next to last day of the cruise, and puke my guts out for 24 hours. Miss the next 2 weeks of work, while developing a first name relationship with the "John". Sorry, got carried away - don't EVER want to go through that again. CL-JW Posted February 16, 2007 #21 Share Posted February 16, 2007 Any excursion that involves a bus ride (think Cozumel to Tulum) We're in agreement on the bus ride. When we look over excursions, if we see it has a bus ride over 15-30 minutes, we won't do it.
