Anything In The SAN DIEGO NEWS About Mercury?

Hi,:) Mercury is supposed to be at sea today but from what

I understand she was turned around and sent back to port?:confused: :eek:

Anything on the news about it? Or anyone who is living in the area....can you see anything?

The webcam shows she is still docked.:( Hope everything is ok!

When I was on the Mercury at the end of October last year - we left SD around 5:30 p.m. and had a medical emergency around 7 p.m. - the ship kept heading South - but in the middle of the night, it turned around and headed North again and met a Coast Guard Helicopter around 7 a.m. to transport that passenger.

 

Sounds like the same thing happen on this cruise that just left SD last night.

Nothing in the local paper or on-line at the newspaper website, so it must have been something minor as above. There are two ships in port today (in the pouring rain): The HAL Zaandam and the Carnival Spirit.

Mercury was in trouble here last summer when the captain was found to be intoxicated. Doubt that happened again with a different captain, but it's the first thing I thought of. Woulda made the news though, that's for sure.
