ecstasy or fantasy

Both ships are Fantasy-class ships in that the ships are virtually identical in superstructure and deck plan. I was on the Ecstasy last month and the ship has been "recently" refurbished. I was quite satisfied with my cruise. I believe both ships go to the same

port(s) of call depending on whether you do a 4 or 5 day cruise. I would go on the ship closest to where you live or that offers the best deal. Dan

It's cheaper and easier to park in Galveston, all other things being the same.

The only thing I did not like about the Ectasy was the step up into the bathroom, that got old. Great pizza and sandwiches and 24 hour ice cream or FF yogurt, yum.

I dont know if the Fantasy has that step up into the bathroom, we almost always go out of Galveston.

I've been on both, the only difference really is the interior decor. They run the same routes, and have the same layouts. Was on the Ecstacy this month, and since the refurb, and much of the tacky neon is gone, can't speak for the Fantasy, but I think she was refurbished inside as well. As far as the step up into the bathroom, I think this is on all Fantasy class ships.

The Fantasy does the Costa Maya and Cozumel.

The Ectasy does Progresso and Cozumel.

If the really big ruins interest you take the Ectasy. (it will be mighty

hot in August however.

I do agree that while Galveston is as exciting as watching paint dry, The hotels have a better handle on cruisers with free shuttles etc, and more reasonable rates.

While we are in Texas, we are driving to NOLA for the Fantasy next week
