Grandeur of the Seas Questions

Recommended Posts

We've been on several HAL cruises and are planning on our first with RCI in November on the Gradeur of the Seas. We are wondering about the cabins on RCI. The outside cabins we are used to on HAL are around 190 square feet. RCI outside cabins look like they are about 150 sq ft (F). Anyone else been on HAL and RCI to compare the cabins? How about storage space? We love the Prisendam from HAL with only 750 passengers but we thought it was time to try a larger ship. This will be the largest ship we have cruised on - any thoughts from those of you who have been on the Gradeur of the Seas and smaller ships. Pros and cons? Dos and don'ts?

Thanks.

I will be sailing on GOS for the first time in April, and according to thier website, the outside rooms are 154 sq.ft.

We have cruised both and would do either again - actually, I hope to revisit both.

Generally speaking, the space ratio on HAL is much better than on RCI. As I recall, we had more than adequate storage on RCI ships (not Grandeur yet). Compared to HAL, the "free floor space and bathroom were smaller - but certainly not claustrophobia inducing.

No yum-yum man or string trio on RCI.
