What to wear after dinner/nightclub?

Recommended Posts

Oh! Thanks! Well, that sound really cool. I usually sail Celebrity...I don't remember seeing that!

Hi, I sail Celebrity and they have a movie theater but

not Movies Under The Stars. I believe that is offered

on Princess.

Oh, to the OP..I also stay dressed for the evening in whatever

I am wearing to dinner.

MUTS is on Princess and now some MSC ships as well. They have a large screen out by the main pool and show movies throughout the day and night. I saw this while on Caribbean Princess for a luncheon last year. Passengers must either love it or hate it. I found it very intrusive personally. Pools are loud enough with crowds, games, music, etc.

Fortunately, Princess ships have several pools (most of them) and at least one is adults only. Kudos to Princess that they actually enforce this (based on many threads) as opposed to many lines who choose not to.

We used to stay dressed up after formal nights, but on our last Celebrity cruise so many of the shows were before our late seating. So there wasn't too much theater to dress for after dinner.

We ended up going to the casino almost every night and it was so smokey that after the first formal night in the casino, we decided we would change. I don't know if it was that cruise or not, but most of the people in the casino were dressed down. (I mean lots in shorts and tee shirts) No one was turned away, but then I would have a hard time seeing someone come up to a passenger making 100 dollar bets and have him leave to change.

I've only been on RCI, and they may be different, but I was very disappointed in the "nightclub". The music was awful - all "angry" hip hop - and there were very few people there...nothing like the dance clubs we have here. I would hope that the other lines are much better in that area. That was probably the single disappointment I had though...and given that I was whipped at the end of every night anyway, it really did not matter much!!

Oh, and I stay dressed. I love formal evenings and would never shorten them!! :p
