Graham Seymour?

Recommended Posts

I've heard that cruise director Graham Seymour is moving to Mariner, and I swear that name sounds familiar, but I can't figure out from where! Mariner's the only RCCL ship I've been on (and we had James Andrews last time)... Could he have been on Celebrity Constellation, since that's also part of RCI? Anyone know what ships he's been on these past few years?

as we did 12 cruises with him on Princess. Then he came to RCCL & folks fell instantly in love with him & his humor. He was married last summer so he is a fill in CD so he can enjoy his farm in the UK & his lovely wife.

So enjoy him for the month the CD is a on vacation.

Let me guess...is Graham English, Scottish, Welsh, Canadian or Australian?

Seems like every cruise I go on they have a CD that has some kind of British accent...what do they have some kind of production line of CDs in the British Commonwealth countries? Why are there so few American CDs?

I mean it is like being in the casinos...they seem to be mostly Brits.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Brits and know they are our best friend and ally but why can't the cruise lines find some Americans who can be CDs or work the casino tables?

Why are there no Julie McCoy's?

To those of you cruising with Graham Seymour, you are lucky. He is funny and good....one of the best CD's I've seen. He was on 2 of our Princess cruises. My other favorite on Princess was Alastair Greener, but he seems to have disappeared.

I agree, Graham is a most entertaining chap and splendid at his job. I've heard through the grape vine that he's just 'stepped back' as CD in order to spend more quality time with his partner/bride/wife (her position we have yet to have confirmed), so he hasn't retired. SOOOOOOOO, I guess if YOU want a fab' vacation with great off the wall humour, then he's your trip, pardon the pun!) :D . And yes he's British  Not anything else just a Brit...............and personally, when sailing, I have never noted the lack of Ameriacans on board, just the various glorious multi cultural environment on board and on land...........so refreshing :) .............otherwise one could so easily be mistaken for thinking that there was nothing outside ones own country..............

We had him on our transatlantic in November on the Voyager and I agree, he was the funniest, most entertaining CD we have ever had. Kinda rough for us because now we expect them all to be that good and no one seems to measure up. He did a stand-up comedy act one night that had us in tears and I could kick myself for not buying his cd because I would love to re-live those moments. We are on the Mariner in September, but not sure if he will still be "filling in" then. How do you find out in advance who will be the CD?

Alasdair Greener was the greatest ever!! Also a British 'person' brought up on a farm!!!

Unfortunately, Britain is so small and has so many talented people, that we export most of them to RCCL:D

I agree. Alastair is the best CD ever. Is he sstill doing Princess ships, or has he retired?? I loved his morning TV show. Graham is my second favorite, and I guess he's just doing substitute work. They both ae down on the farm, and I hope have very happy lives. They certainly entertained lots of folks.

For those of you sailing soon with Graham, he also does an early morning TV "show" which we watched each morning in the cabin while getting ready for our day. It was very entertaining. I agree with all the above...he was our best CD so far. I'll bet his wife is laughing all the time....well, maybe not ALL the time!!!!!

From what I heard, Graham is on the Mariner until Becky gets back then he's off to the Navigator for a full contract. We sailed with him last year on the Navigator, so I was SO happy to find out he was going to be on the Mariner with us.

We LOVE him. In fact we bought his DVD (just got off the ship yesterday) and my daughter and I were just sitting here laughing our heads off.

On one morning show, he was talking about the drink of the day (the Midori one) and talked about it tasting like feet.... ewww! Then, during bingo, when "Jackpot Jen" handing the bingo commissioner the drink of the day, by daughter (she's only 10) was ABOSLUTELY horrified. She said to me "but mom, it tastes like feet!".

Saturday night Jen took DD over to where Graham was signing DVD's to introduce her. DD was in awe, but then on the way home she said to me, "mom, he's always so funny. But he wasn't when I met him". Not sure what she expected.

Another vote for Graham Seymour......had him on Princess and RCI is lucky to get him.

My son was a casino dealer for Princess for 3 years. He was one of only 3 American dealers in the fleet. Great experience.

Money is taxed for Americans.....so they make less.

I had Graham on the Navigator in June as well - hilarious guy and his morning show was very helpful!

I'm glad that he's still doing some CD work, even if it's for fill-in purposes. Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll be on the Liberty in June 2008. :D

3 words..........MONEY MONEY MONEY.

Americans get taxed on their income, wherever in the world they earn it, so have to make alot more money that non Americans just to earn a living wage.

His morning tv shows were so funny to us and the couple we cruise with that one morning we set our breakfast time for "after the first run of Graham's tv show is over." Sure enough, we walked out into the hallway just as the other couple popped out of their room. We laughed all the way to breakfast. If you have Graham as your CD, enjoy!
