Hi, I was searching for the "Cruising in LA" site.....so you guys are on some sort of boat, right?

 

Is there a difference between a boat and a ship... I row a boat and sail on a ship? Help I am wondering. When will the casino open again... I have a winner T shirt on and love to gamble at the office.

Bill and Vicky. . . looks like you had beautiful weather on your Antarctic landing. Although judging by the amount of clothing you had on it must have been pretty cold:D . Great pictures and review.

 

It was only 5 below with the wind chill factor when we got off the plane in Antarctica, but excellent sunshine weather.

Can somebody who is now on this ship tell me whether you have to sign up in advance to use the treadmills? We had to do that on the Grand and the other time I was on the Golden we had to do it there too. Thank you.

From my days taking the Coast Guard Sailing class (a hundred years ago), I recall that a boat is <56-foot long. ;)

Anything >56 feet is a Ship.

I do not know where Yachts come in - perhaps the expense & elegance associated with Private Yachts, as well as Yachting Lines. :p

 

The HappyScot does know the difference, I am sure. He is a prolific writer & a very funny guy. Posts on other Threads here - other than Princess. :D
