Enchantment deck 4 room???

Recommended Posts

Thinking about selecting interior room #'s 4573 and 4575 on the enchantment. I am hoping it is a nice room as it is part of the "NEW" section of the ship. But I realized it is right underneath Bolero's Lounge. Now I am concerned about noise. Do I want a room in the new section??, or my other choice is deck 2 with an older interior room??

We are booked on 3rd deck on Enchantment for 3/17. A couple of months ago I noticed a price drop. Our cabins went down about $100 pp, but the 4th deck was even another $100 less! I talked to some people and decided that I did not want to be sleeping under Boleros and the Casino, even for another $100 savings. From what I've been told, you may hear some of what's going on up there, especially if there is a band. Even though we plan to be up late sometimes and go to Boleros, etc., there could be a night when I want to go to bed early. (possibly?) So we're staying on the 3rd deck and got that price decrease. Last month, they were discounting our State (Md.) and I got that, too!

This is our first cruise I'm planning, so I appreciate the info. I know what you mean, we have two older daughters and plan on being up late SOME nights, but I may have to take earplugs for the early ones!

Also, where do you see these price drops? Just by checking the RCI web-site? And how do you go about taking advantage of them?? Like I said, this is all new to me!

I learned on these boards that if you check the RC web site and go through the motions of booking a cruise for your date, you can see what the current prices are. They may fluctuate one way or the other. If you notice a price drop, call your TA or RC right away to take advantage of it. If you booked through a TA then they need to call RC to get the change. I read of someone who's TA kept an eye out on that kind of stuff for them, and the TA noticed the price drop first. But in our case, I noticed it. Since I booked this about 6 months ago, I have been on RC's site and this site several times a week and really learned a lot. The last (and only) cruise I was on was 18 years ago on my honeymoon! This cruise is a "girlfriend's getaway" for 5 of us. Four of us turn 50 this year and decided we deserve to do this!

We stayed in cabin 4879 on the Enchantment and I wouldn't recommend it. I could not get to sleep until the band quit playing but I have a feeling we were directly underneath them. The noise was like a constant "thumping" which didn't bother my DH but he can sleep through anything. The cabins you mention don't appear to be directly underneath the band area so you might not notice the noise as much.

Birdergal-

Thanks for the info. I'm curious, how could you till directly where the band would be on the floor above us??

Our cabin was located more in the center of the ship - an inside hallway - not on the hallways that run along the sides. Judging by the distance from the Centrum, Boleros seemed to be directly above us. The band appeared to be in the center also which I assumed was pretty close to being directly above our cabin.
