Princess Lost & Found

We were recently on the Grand Princess and I think I left my jacket in the cabin. I e-mailed Princess through their web site and was wondering how long it would take them to answer. Has anyone had any luck recovering lost items?

I left my jacket (a really nice one)in the casino one night. I thought it was a goner, but sure enough I went to the pursers a couple of days later and there it was. Don't give up hope!

 

I thought it was very nice of someone to turn it is. Maybe yours is in an office somewhere.

I lost my wife last year on the Golden and I'm still waiting for someone to find her

It can take weeks or months to hear back. They have to wait for the ship to complete it's current itinerary, then wait for all of the lost and found stuff be sent to CA. I lost my prescription sun glasses waiting in the dining room for disembarkation and they sent me a form to fill out and fax back... I heard back 2 months later. They didn't find the glasses. :( They were in a distinctive sunglass case which was worth more to me sentimentally than the glasses themselves, which I'd already replaced with a new prescription.

Thanks Pam for the information. Looks like I will just replace the jacket and have two if it happens to turn up months from now.

Still waiting to hear back from them - its been 2 years. I think I should give up.....:D

We left our jackets in our cabin. We called them from the airport and said we'd take a taxi back and they said that was unneccesary. We faxed in the form and waited. After a couple months we called CA and they said they'd never gotten the fax. So we faxed another form. Had to call them again. They said nothing had been turned in . Good luck!!!

My lock on piece of luggage had been forced open....this must have taken place after leaving outside cabin .An employee at LA airport alerted me to the fact before handing to go through security.

The only item missing was my nearly new pink with rose pattern long sleeved FLANNELET nite gown.:D

Princess contacted me two months later and said it had not been found.

We left our camera on a Holland America cruise. The ship boxes up lost items to the home office and then they identify what is yours. They indeed had our camera and shipped it to us no questions. Hopefully you will have the same luck....we were VERY impressed.
