Parking at Harwich port

Recommended Posts

We have just booked on Constellation for 17th May 2008 and were wondering about parking at Harwich pier. Does anybody have any more information about availability, cost, possibility to pre-book?

Also, does anybody know if there is a hotel nearby that might offer parking for the cruise if you stay with them the night before?

Thanks,

Mark

:) :) We are sailing from Harwich this summer and have investigated the parking arrangements. If you visit the port of Harwich website it says that shortly they will be posting a telephone number for cruisers - watch that space!!!

Also the Premier Inn is very close by - not sure if you can leave your car there for duration of cruise though. Hope this helps. will find website and post later:rolleyes:

Hit here,

Parking at Harwich is so easy you'll have no problems. Arrive in car park, unload luggage into trailers then walk about 200 metres to the ship. It's a bit of a pain of its raininig but otherwise no problems. Also, the railway station is alongside the car park and the ship's berth just adjacent.

Have a great time....

Hi

If you want to stay over in Harwich the night before your cruise, there is a hotel only five minutes from the port, which works like some airport hotels. Stay one night and you are able to park there for the duration of your cruise.

The Tower Hotel www.tower-hotel-harwich.co.uk charges approx £60-70 for a double room for a one night stay and parking is only £2.50 per day

However, if you are going to drive there the morning of your cruise, just park in the port, as per one of the other replies, it's £6 per day and there is plenty of space.
