I noticed that the ship used to leave Aruba around 1AM but that has since changed to 8PM. Anyone know why this is?

I asked a similar question and those who responded said something about the port fees. RCL pays more the longer they stay.

That's too bad! That happened to be our "Caribbean Night", and we decided to eat at a restaurant on Aruba. I think it would be pushing things a bit if you had to be onboard by 7:30om! Oh well! It still leaves plenty of beach time!
