AND plan time in Seward. This is just an excellent touring gem in Alaska- plan an overnight and consider an all day Kenai Fjords boat trip. Alaska Sealife Center, Exit Glacier, Seavey's sled dogs. Godwin's glacier helicopter landings etc http://www.sewardak.org Allow at least 3 hours for transfer to Anchorage- best and superior scenery is via rail- leaving 6pm on the regular run of the Alaska RR, next one way rental car via Hertz- then turn the car in for a cheap round trip Anchorage car for more touring. :) Last choice for me is the bus.

If your cruise ends in Seward, do not plan on an early flight home. By the time you get off the ship and choose (do this before you leave ship) a way to go to the Anchorage airport, you will need to allow time to collect luggage, get on you method of transportation, get to the airport, check in, goe through security, it could take up to 5 hours to do all this. Plan on a late day flight home unless you are staying over either in Seward or Anchorage.
