The customer service folks at the Regent toll-free # tell me that one can't do La Veranda on formal night without proper attire. They say that every single place on the ship (except one's own suite) is "formal." I wonder whether that's correct? (tho don't awfully much care-- it'll be fine to eat in our cabin that one night)

Wow poss, I'm surprised. We did one of the formal nights in La Verandah precisely to avoid the hoopla! David did have to go and get his jacket when we went to the Observation Lounge after dinner--they asked him to leave, but he just threw on a jacket and we went back, no problem.

Interesting to hear what others say--also interested since we'll be back on Voyager in the Caribbean in December, with 2 informal nights, and David, as always, may want to try to dodge one of them by going to La Veranda.
