Frankel Posted June 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2007 Does anyone know if there is a problem getting off a cruise ship in Alexandria, Egypt, if you have an Israeli stamp in your passport?
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 14, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 14, 2007 On our recent cruise which included several countries in the Middle East rather than stamping the passports, the Israel immigration personnel stamped a special paper for each of us for the type of reason you ask about where certain countries do not let you into their country if your passport has been stamped in Israel. Lybia is an example of that. With that said, I don't think Egpyt would have a problem with that given the various treaties that have been signed several years back between Israel and Egpyt. You might want to post this question on the Middle East section of cruise critic to see if someone has actual experience with this. Keith
kitty9 Posted June 14, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 14, 2007 Crystal told us the only place we would have a problem with an Israeli stamp is when we went to Libya. You cannot have an Israeli stamp in your passport if you go there. It's fine for Egypt.
paul929207 Posted June 14, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 14, 2007 There is no problem entering Egypt with an Israeli stamp in your passport. Air Sinai (part of Air Egypt) flies from Tel Aviv to Cairo. We took this flight and did not have any trouble with immigation in Cairo.
