alcohol and soda

Liquor must be packed in your checked luggage, or else it will probably be taken from you and stored until til end of your cruise. I believe there is no problem carrying on soda. RCI has a duty free liquor shop on board with great prices, less than at home. They charge you $9.50 per bottle to take to your room. However, the first night on my last 3 cruises aboard the Brilliance and the Voyager, you could buy as many bottles as you want and only pay the $9.50 once. The liquors include plain and flavored rums, vodka, gin, bourbon and scotch. They even have a few premium liquors like Crown Royal. I don't remember the price, but it was much less than we would have paid at home.
