honeydog714 Posted June 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2007 I just got an email from my travel agent Thursday they are having a huge one day sale with upgrades on almost every cruise through 12/08! She can access it on Weds and is giving out shipboard credits on all seven day sailings, seems like it could be quite the bargain!

pholter Posted June 25, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 25, 2007 Hope this is a good deal for some folks, but I seem to be getting these emails now every week saying it's the biggest 1 day sale ever. I don't even open them anymore..
honeydog714 Posted June 25, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted June 25, 2007 I don't know I just asked her to check for the sailing I am thinking of. I know she gives credits for transfered bookings regardless if the sale is lower but I was looking for a particular one

Ellanora Posted June 25, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 25, 2007 Does anyone know what the fare code is, the one that can be entered on the website?
aggieastrosfan Posted June 25, 2007 #7 Share Posted June 25, 2007 Has anyone ever actually gotten a deal off these sales? Every time I check, I can always get a better price not using the sale promo code.
sunlover5 Posted June 25, 2007 #8 Share Posted June 25, 2007 I received an email from our TA yesterday. We have a category 8B booked for the Liberty. She said she was already working on the sale and trying to get us a better price. She know we don't want to switch cabins since this is our first aft balcony. We got a great price at booking and a price drop later she got us so this would be the 2nd one..hope it works out. She said she would let me know. Gotta love a good TA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SeaLawyer Posted June 25, 2007 #15 Share Posted June 25, 2007 I just booked my cruise last week. Is there a way I can take advantage of this upgrade deal? If so, how? Thanks in advance.
hubofhockey Posted June 25, 2007 #16 Share Posted June 25, 2007 code is p1s When I entered that code, it said you had to take Carnival airfare with it.
tbrown Posted June 25, 2007 #17 Share Posted June 25, 2007 I have never done this before. Where do I go to use this code? I am confused already. I need a cruise.
PirateGal Posted June 25, 2007 #18 Share Posted June 25, 2007 Hmm, I will be booking the Liberty this week (hopefully tomorrow once hubby confirms his vacation days with work). I noticed today that there are upgrades available for Carnival...but what else will be included in the sale on Thurs? I was going to book tomorrow but can definitely wait 'til Thursday. Keep us updated!

honeydog714 Posted June 25, 2007 Author #21 Share Posted June 25, 2007 Well I don't know the exact specifics except what my TA told me, she is getting us upgraded and giving us a nice shipboard credit so it works for me, might not seem like a sale to some but if I can pay for one cabin, move up several cabins in the same class and get $$ from her I am happy :D
flahagan Posted June 25, 2007 #22 Share Posted June 25, 2007 Well, I guess I got pretty much the same sale last week through an online TA, with a VERY reduced price on a 12 night Med on Freedom Oct. 2008 ($1082 for a 4A, incl all taxes, etc.) plus $200 shipboard credit per cabin. Yahoo!!!
ifuonlyknewme Posted June 26, 2007 #23 Share Posted June 26, 2007 O.K. all here is my update. So I called Carnival to ask for the upgrade myself and they were happy to help so I went from a 4c to 4e same price. Thank You Carnival!!!!!!
Winterstale Posted June 26, 2007 #24 Share Posted June 26, 2007 Wow! I wonder if the Mexico sails are on sale! I haven't booked yet for my 8/10 trip...it's probably worth calling them about it!
delluser Posted June 26, 2007 #25 Share Posted June 26, 2007 Just called my PVP at Carnival. The rate that I got back in April was still $140.00 less than the "sale" so no upgrade for me. He said I should continue to watch and my best bet would be a sale 30-60 days before sailing. Although, based on my rate he was doubtful that we'd do much better-we booked an 8A on Triumph for 10/20 in aft balcony for $643 inclusive of all fees/taxes.
