Leaving for PG in 2 days-- do we need sweaters???

So excited to be leaving in 2days for a layover in LAX and then to Tahiti...will we need a light sweater or anything like that??? trying to lighten an already stuffed suitcase.. any ideas from those who just returned on needed warm gear or raingear etc.. appreciated..BV

If I were you, I would try and cram in a light sweater. I realize everyone is different but I found I was more comfortable in the public areas on ship with a light wrap as the air conditioning kept things quite cool. I don't recall needing anything on land, however. We were there in June also and it was pretty hot with high humidity, most days. The rain we experienced was all at night, then the mornings dawned bright and clear. You should be able to get some incredible sunrise pics from your balcony.

The short answer is no, you will not need a sweater, jacket, raingear or any of that.

 

That being said, if you get chilly in A/C easily, throw in a light wrap or pashmina for evenings in the dining room.

 

And have a great trip!

My wife always takes a shawl along instead of a sweater.

She thinks it works better.
