snowbegone Posted June 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2007 My Husband and I are taking two 21 year olds on a 3 day cruise for a grad gift. They want to go to Disney World first, so we thought a small cruise would fit right in. My questions are: Can you park your car at the port? We are looking at Carnival (Fasination) or Royal Caribbean (Majesty or Soverign of the Sea). We are planning to go July 13. Would one line have more young people or are they fairly equal? We can party with the best of them but, apparently we don't count.:D
doone Posted June 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2007 Of this year???? The kids would probably enjoy Royal Caribbean best, IMHO.
Cotton Posted June 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2007 IMO - Carnival! Actually, I've had good cruises on both...I just think Carnival has more of a younger crowd during the summer months.
sportsterjohn Posted June 28, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2007 The crowds will be pretty similar. 3 day cruises tend to be more party cruises regardless of which line you take. The main advantage of CCL (at least for the class of ships you will be on) is room size. The rooms on the SOS and MOS are tiny, the rooms on the CCL ship will be much larger. Other than that, both cruises will be pretty equal. One thing I would consider is whether or not one of the cruises went to the cruise lines private island. For me,that would be the difference maker. SandyW Posted June 29, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 29, 2007 Although we tend to be Carnival fans...I agree with SportsterJohn. Either line should be fairly equal where the number of young people are concerned.
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 29, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 29, 2007 Either Cruise Line will have plenty of kids so pick the one that you are most interested in. Keith
Happy ks Posted June 30, 2007 #7 Share Posted June 30, 2007 Yes, they have a parking lot at the port. The parking fee is $12 per day.
