Westerdam open seating dining this summer?

Is the Westerdam doing open seating dining this summer? My TA seems to think there is a choice of traditional or open seating. She is not clear about which is upper, which lower and the times.

Does anyone have information?

I do not know about the Westerdam, but our TA told us the Volendam Nov. 23 Panama cruise will have both traditional and open seating and that all HAL ships will be making the change before the end of the year. On the Volendam the upper dining room (balcony) will be traditional 5:45 and 8:00 assigned seating and the lower dining room will be open seating from 5:30 to 10:00. I assume from other posts this format will hold true for the other HAL ships as they make the change over.

I don't think that the Westerdam is doing open seating this summer; people have come back from there and reported and made no mention of open seating...

To the best of my knowledge, the "Anytime Dining" experiment is taking place this summer on the Oosterdam and Noordam Alaska itineraries. But as Terrydtx mentioned, I have also read elsewhere that the "Anytime Dining" will spread throughout the fleet, although I didn't know the time frame. Thanks for the info, Terry.

There is no open seating on Westerdam while she is in Europe; it's all traditional seating with the 4 dining times.

I'm on the Westerdam 10/21 sailing out of FLL. I called HAL last week to ask about this and was told "At this time, there is no plan to have As You Wish Dining on this sailing."

Thanks Barb for checking that out. I'm hoping that we have fixed dining times on our cruise. I've always enjoyed anytime dining on Princess but I am really looking forward to having the same tablemates every night for the first time.
