New to Cruising - If We Book With a TA, Will We Be Able to View Booking On-Line?

New to cruising & Oceania. If we book with a TA, will we be able to soon view & confirm our booking on-line with Oceania? We are considering a TA who sent us a mailing with Oceania "Letterhead & Insignia," but we don't know anything about them. Have checked BBB, but no record. They are members of CLIA, but not ASTA. :confused:

Once you have a booking number you should be able to see your information on Oceania's website under "already booked"

 

You can check they are a member at http://www.cruising.org/planyourcruise/experts.cfm

Once the reservation "is loaded into the system", you will be able to see it on Oceania's website, and you'll go there to input your passport info, etc.

 

Usually takes less than a week, but it will be there.

Thank you all. LHT 28, what do you mean by "check that they are a member?" Do you mean the TA and if so, a member of what? They are listed on Oceania's list of TA's (smaller TA's). Is that what you mean?

you mentioned they had the CLIA designation so you can check CLIA's website but if they are Oceania's list they were probably checked out by O

 

as I believe they have to register with Oceania to book with them:confused:

Hi, The way it works is each area has an RSD (Regional Sales Director) once a year each RSD is asked for a list of their top accounts to put on the Oceania list..that means they do a lot of business with Oceania..
