Is there a confirmation for early embarkation?

If you signed up via your TA you should get a confirmation from SS (we did). If you did it yourself via the SS Web-site, I would print out the form and take it with you.

Well I just experienced how horrible Silverseas head office is, absolutely useless. As a TA, i filled out the form twice on line about a month ago for early embarkation, called today to see if I could get a fax to bring with me to be told Silversea does not take any responsibility for their web site and that they had never received my request and would not be able to honor any early embarkation. After paying $6700 for a week on this ship, I was treated like a second class citizen. Its put such a bad taste in my mouth on boarding my 4th Silversea cruise. After this cruise, I am going back to Seabourn where as a travel professional and repeat guest I am better respected.

That sounds not usual to me. I've spent something around 400 days on Silversea and it never happened that the online request for early embarkation did not work. We cruise once or twice a year with Silversea and early embarkation has never been a problem. Hope that this was only a one time happening

I even did it (the online form) online with SS reservations on the phone and they still did not get it. It was a complete run-around. I did get an admission of issue with their web site, again , my fault? You would think they would want the extra revenue and to give a paying passenger the benefit of the doubt, but what do they care? Also, Alice, the reservations supervisor was completely unsympathetic to the situation, I felt like I was dealing with a Holiday Inn rather than a luxury cruise line. Very sad. Even if it was "full" what's 1 extra person given the situation, also I was only boarding an hour or so early its not like I wanted to show up at 10AM. Needless to say, if the onboard experience is not better, I will look to the new Seabourn ships in the future.
