jaime_voyager Posted July 19, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2007 Hi, I am looking for bus schedule/rate information for the local area to the NCL Pier in New York City. I think I read somewhere that NCL had buses that picked up passengers in several "nearby" cities. A bus may save me lots by my not having to drive all the way in to NYC, staying at a hotel the night before, and paying port parking - which I think is up to ~$22/day! Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
dtiger Posted July 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2007 Hi, I'm not sure where you are in NY state. I'd call NCL and inquire if they have buses. I know that RCL does which we took for free from Boston to NY. If they don't you might want to look up Greyhound which isn't very expensive. Coastalbreezes Posted July 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2007 Hi -- try calling the number in this NCL link. they should be able to answer your question. Right now I think it is just New England cities. Good luck and have fun. http://www.norwegiancruiselines.com/more/bus.htm TracyE
Rare Got2Cruise Posted July 19, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2007 Where do you live? The Port Authority Bus Terminal is close to the pier. You can take a Greyhound bus into there and cab it over the ten blocks. Or, Amtrack into Grand Central. Station. Go on the East Coast board, there are several posts on this subject there. jaime_voyager Posted July 20, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted July 20, 2007 I live near Buffalo. Thanks for all of your suggestions! I'll be checking them all out.
Name game Posted July 21, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2007 Amtrak might be a better option than a bus. It will certainly be faster. Near Buffalo to New York City is a loooooooooooooong bus ride, but you must know that already.
