Train tickets- Southampton- London

Hi,

 

I am arrriving on 8/9 and I'm planning to take the train. Do I need to buy the tickets in advance or can I just buy them at the station? Is there a website where I can buy them and they'll send me something similar to an e-ticket?

 

I live in the US, so buying a megattrain ticket is not an option.

you require a UK mailing address,then them picked up at the station,

another option,and cheaper ,buy a national express funfare ticket,they use e tickets,and much cheaper

For clarification for those who are not used to British trade names, National Express is the major Coach (long distance bus) company in England.

I live in the US and I bought a megatrain ticket last year. I just had to provide the booking number at the station and that was it. They crossed me off a list if I recall correctly.

You can just buy them at the station. IIRC, the main train company rarely has any specials that require advance booking, so most people will be buying the walk-up fare anyway.
