Chops or Portofinos

If you had to choose one, would you dine at Chops or Portofinos?

I would choose Chops........but DW would choose Portofino:)

DH and I prefer Chops; however they are both wonderful. If you are a beef eater then Chops is the way to go; awesome filet

I found the steak at Portofino is better than anything that Chops had to offer.

I ate at both places on Freedom and will do the same on Liberty but if I only had a choice of one it would definitely be Chops...........hands down.:D

DW loves steak and I love Italian. We'll be doing both on our first Mariner cruise:D Can't beat that!

Before eating at both, I would have said Chops especially since I don't care for Italian food. But I think I would choose Portofino's. The steak I had there was fantastic. They also had an awesome dessert...I think it was the Flourless Chocolate Cake. Yummy!

Can someone give me an idea of the menu at each? I asked my husband which he's like to eat at on our upcoming cruise, and he said he didn't want to spend our special evening sans children eating pasta instead of steak. But from what I read above, there's more than pasta on the menu at Portofinos?

I always get the seafood skewer at Portfino's. But Chops would be my preference. I have a friend who hated the skewer. Too each their own. Getting a reservation has never been a problem for us. They have the menus out that you can see ahead of time and then book your date and time.

I have dined at both Portofinos and Chops. I've had the filet mignon at both and Portofinos was by far the better steak and the flourless chocolate cake is to die for.
