"14.25 pre cruise hotel miami intercontinental" arrival - Bayside Marketplace is within a short walk along the bay from the Miami Intercontinental Hotel. There you will find shops, restaurants, boat tours, musical venues and just plain people watching. There are at least 4 restaurants; Bubba Gumps for shrimp; Hard Rock for traditional Pub food, a steak house, etc. plus several smaller bars and food locations. You will find plenty to fill your waking hours. If you rise early enought (before your transfer to FLL) you could take a taxi to South Beach and have breakfast at the News Cafe. It is quaint and right across from the beach (go take a peek).

Bon Voyage

Re dining in Miami: The News Cafe for breakfast is a good idea -- it's a fun place. For dinner, I would skip Bayside, if it were me -- most of the places there are chains, nothing special. Instead try Garcia's Seafood Grille for absolutely wonderful fresh fish. It's on the Miami River, you can sit outside on the deck; definitely not a tourist-trap place. Or, there's a very nice Spanish restaurant called Mosaico. It's more upscale/more expensive, but with an interesting menu and excellent service.
