Cigar Bar or Store near Port?

Does anyone know if there are any cigar bars or stores near port?

Always ready for a nice cuban cigar.

Yes...if you make your way into Bridgetown for shopping,

keep walking along the boardwalk at the side of the inlet there,

until you come to the bridge..

go over the bridge and under the Independence Arch,

and turn right, down a short flight of steps..

Basically you're heading to WATERFRONT Cafe for lunch, or a drink...

there's a cluster of small stores right before you get to Waterfront's sidewalk cafe

and among them is a small cigar store.

I've bought a few Agio Mehari's there (I prefer cigarillo's).

I'm sure you can also buy a few sticks

at the big dept.store on Broad Street called Cave Shepherd,

where Wife tells me they have a cigar room,

down in the back of the store, near where the sell the grog!

I now remember seeing it, just a few days ago

If you get down the West Coast to Holetown

there's a Gourmet Shop among the cluster of small chattel-house shops there,

run by Sarah and Leo - they usually have a few select items.

You won't suffer too badly!

I checked out the area and took some pics for you.

I didn't find the shop where I remember it.

That little bank of shops is now entirely fashionable clothes shops

no lil cigar store there anymore.

but I did come across this big sign.

It was Sunday so everything was shut tight

Terminal meaning Cruise port? Or just outside the Port?

Thank you both for the information. Very Helpful. I'll have to try House of Cubans.

There is a terminal building with shops that you have to walk through to get out into the island/city. If I recall correctly, this was a liquor store with a very nice selection of cigars. I don't think it was strictly a cigar shop.

Sounds like one of the several Duty Free Shops within the Port itself.

It'll be the first large bldg you'll enter..

same bldg with Immigration checkpoint and Customs.

You may not have to go far, even though Bridgetown (less than a mile away)

would love to see you too.

We have quite a few cigar aficionados on our cruise in Dec. We'll be in Barbados Dec. 2, and was wondering if the store you mentioned is still around?

Sorry but it's gone!

However, the big department store on Broad Street(where cruisers end up,anyway) -CAVE SHEPHERD & Co.

has a small cigar room down towards the back of the store, on Ground Level.

And like someone said in a post above, there should be a source

right in the Cruise Terminal Bldg. before you even leave the Port!

See the pics on my Shopping in the Cruise Terminal page at...

http://www.*****.com/terminal.html

- it'll be somewhere in there!
