All Things Miracle!!!!

You have been on many cruises. In your experience, what are the main differences between the Miracle (spirit class) and the Conquest, Victory, and Triumph, which are very close in design? I t.

The Conquest class ships--- are hard to manuveur. If you had a good time moving around your cruise on the miracle will be 10 times better.

On the Spirit class ship there is only one dining room-- two times. 5:45 or 8:00 No getting lsot trying to figure out what elevator can get you there like on the other class ships.

So how is the cruise director on the Miracle? I just really enjoyed when John Heald was the director on the Triumph. Any luck that the Miracle's is just as good?
We did not care for him to much. He does not go out of his way to keep you informed. He never mentioned the "On Deck for a Cure". You have to totally depend on your Capers. I thought the Assistant Cruise Director was a lot better.

We are cruising on the Miracle out of New York in June. I was wondering if their is a certain side of the ship to book the room on so you can get a good view of the Statue of Liberty from our balcony?

Cassandra

The best place to be at sailaway is up on deck. You should be on the starboard (right) side when the ship leaves the harbor. If you want to see the statue when you come home, book a cabin on the port (left) side because the ship will pass the statue early in the morning and you might not be up on deck that early.

Hi everyone! We are planning a family reunion cruise on board the Miracle for March 2009, and I just booked cabin 6232. The pictures of the balcony on this stateroom look amazing, and the ship looks wonderful. We really enjoyed our last CCL cruise on the Valor, and I'm looking forward to this one as well. Now I only have to wait 400+ days. :D

But does it have the normal lounges, etc that the Conquest class does, or not?

Just a note to let you know which room we booked. I have been dreaming of having the 6232 balcony, but, since we are going with by BIL and SIL who would not have a connecting balcony, we felt it was better to switch to a different room that we could have adjoining balconies. We choose 4239 and 4241. That was a hard choice for me to make, but, it really was nice having them in a adjoining balcony this past cruise.

I know I have asked you in the past why were you so pro an aft balcony room, and one of my reasons for not wanting it was the shade / sun issue. That's why I went with deck four; so that I can have more shade on the aft balcony than the other levels. Other than that, I would have tried to stay away from not having a passenger cabin level above and below me.

Anyway, thanks for the info!

To all my CC friends: My PVP laughs at me because I know so much about what my balcony WILL look like when I am booking, and etc. but she doesn't know where I get all my info at, but it is from you guys. I hope that when it gets closer to our sail date, we will get a fun roll call going. The last one we had really was not a memorable one.

Thanks for helping us with seeing the best views of the Statue of Liberty. We will probably be up on the deck when we leave NY and in the room when we return, so the left side is what we will probably try for.

I don't know what "normal" would be for lounges.

There are plenty of places to get a drink. I know that for sure! :D

Have you looked at the deck plans? Several bars/lounges on Decks 2 & 3, and the usual bars on the Lido by the pools.

DD & I would hang out in the sports bar, eating sushi as an appetizer (we had late dining) when it was open (warning: the line can be long and there was only one guy; I'm looking foward to Glory where there's a "real" counter and, hopefully, more than 1 person trying to serve all those people); next to Macguires was the bar where Music Manila played. Never went to Karaoke and had no idea where Mad Hatters was or what went on there. Lobby bar where they have the special Margarita night. Lounges outside both entrances to the dining room (those were the only places where I was freezing cold, and I'm normally always cold); bar in the casino; piano bar. That's all I remember!

I guess I am just wondering whats the difference because the conquest, victory, and triumph has three decks for nighttime fun, and the miracle has only two. Last cruise, we got into going into the kareoke bar. Never thought I would like that!:D We were 12 people, of which 5 liked it, so I tagged along and it was fun!

My husband loves the casino, of which, I know that there is one on the Miracle. Could you imagine a Carnival ship without one!

Question. Is the Exterior Promenade shops or a quite deck area with chairs, etc?

I guess since I am not sure, it just means I have more homework to do on CC!:p

We were on the Miracle earlier this month - aft cabins - and our friends in cabin 8270 used their laptop all the time to contact home. I would say it's worth bringing your laptop.

Exterior promenade is quiet deck area - but I don't recall seeing alot of chairs

Hope this helps!

"The best place to be at sailaway is up on deck"

when you say 'on deck' do you mean the the lido or any deck in particular? which deck is is that you can walk completely around the perimeter of the entire ship? thanks:)

the promenade you can walk "almost" completely around, but not 100%. You can't walk around the front part. Unfortunately, there are no deck chairs out there but it is a wonderful place for a stroll. Very quiet as well.

These are aft cabins....not the wrap around but in the middle of them. They are extended balconies. I found a couple of pics for you.

I loved the Miracle. So beautiful.

I sailed last year, first sailing after dry dock.

The food was great, our cabin was wonderful and plenty big enough for our family. My Mom traveled too and had an inside single cabin. It was spacious, comparatively.

I loved just drinking in the main lobby, so relaxing. Afternoon tea was so much fun for my older daughter and I.

The Sushi bar in th evening was delish!

We just got off of the Miracle a week ago. Take a sweater. This was our

4th cruise, and by far the coldest ship I've ever been on. It was just me, it's pretty bad when a guy at the card table tells the bar waiter no thanks, I need to get warm first. Now I know why all the dealers wear long sleeves.

Wow! I had the exact opposite experience! I'm ALWAYS freezing and fully expected to be frozen everywhere on board, but didn't find that to be the case. That was a pleasant surprise!

I thought it was cold in the two lounges outside the dining room, and I always took a shawl/wrap at dinner, mostly because I was wearing sleeveless dresses.

What I didn't take was any warm clothing, and it was COLD when we sailed (12/17). I had sailed the year before in December and it was wonderfully warm, so I went unprepared. My fault!

emt: all I can recommend is reading through this very long thread and reading our reviews. I'm pretty sure we linked to them earlier. If not, here's mine...

She's a lovely ship. I'm sure you'll have a great time.
