Deck Plans?

When you board a Carnival ship, do they give you a little map of the decks?

Or must we print them out on our computers? Anyone have any good suggestions on how to do this?

When we sailed the QM2, they had the most convenient little, durable fold-up maps. But of course, the QM2 is in another universe!

Thanks in advance,

I printed it out on my computer, it was a big help studying the boat long before the journey.

I saw this link on another post here somewhere on CC...it is GREAT!! :D They have deck plans for the CCL ships and many more wonderful things - menus, drink prices, etc...

:) They print out very nicely! - PDF files.

Hope this helps! - Rhonda

I'd love to try to memorize the entire layout of the Miracle

weeks before I get close to cruising!

Think you'll find you only really need to know deck plans for..

your accommodation deck,

Lido and upper,open-air recreation decks, (9,10?)

Mezanine and Restaurant decks(3,4,5?)

I personally do not like the deck plans they give you onboard. I went to Carnival website and printed each deck plan then copied to a small size, taped them together and copied again to make my own pocket size deck plans just like the one online. I like that style much better. Easier to read to me.

Oh, no! Not me! I must know where everything is so I don't "waste" valuable time!

Truly OCD. :p

Here is how I print Deck Plans

Go to http://www.carnival.com/CMS/Ships/FunShips.aspx

I'll pick "Paradise"

Click on "Deck Plans"

I'll click "Main Deck"

Right click on image and choose "Save image as"

Were it says "Save In" choose a KNOWN FOLDER.

The image I am working on is called "PAmain2.gif"

And then choose "Save"

Open "Microsoft Word"

Change "View" go down to "Page Layout"

Go to "Insert" go down to "Picture" and across to "From File"

Where it says "Look In" go to your KNOWN FOLDER

Choose your file name "PAmain2.gif"

Then "Insert"

Right click on image and choose "Format Picture"

Choose "Size"

In the box labled "Height" (the upper one) change it to "13" (Legal Size)

Click "OK"

Go to "File" the down to "Page Setup"

Go to the "Margin" tab change top and bottom to 0.2"

Go to the "Page Size" and choose paper size "Legal"

Click "OK"

Go to "File" down to "Print"

Click "OK"

(Ignore warnings)

I clicked on the deck plans. Then it brings up all the ships. I went to the Victory and clicked on it. It brings up "Carnival_Victory.pdf‎ (file size: 494 KB, MIME type: application/pdf) Printable Deck Plans for Carnival Victory". When I click on that, it still says that the web page cannot be found. Don't know what the problem is.

Worked fine for me. Do you have a PDF reader installed. Also assuming some setting in your browser is messed up have you tried downloading the file directly from the above link then double clicking on your computer so it directly goes to your PDF reader?

Good luck!!! Me, and a whole bunch of other people at the end of day 8 on our way off the ship STILL got confused, turned left instead of right, went forward instead of aft.... Which way off this elevator compared to which way off THAT elevator...

It's a big beautiful ship, but you'll deserve a 24 karat solid gold 'plastic' piece of ship on a stick if you memorize it even by the end of the cruise.
