Trans options from Manhattan NY to Bayonne NJ

We will be staying near Time Square (W 45th St & 6th Ave) later this month prior to a cruise out of Bayonne NJ. I would appreciate some transportation recommendations from New Yorkers or those who have made the trip from Manhattan to Bayonne for a cruise. Which is better from a cost and convenience point of view; Taxi or limo?

 

Our cruise is on a Sat so hopefully traffic will be a bit lighter!

I would use Dial 7 car service. It will probably be around the same price for a cab and much more pleasant. #212-777-7777.

 

A cab will charge you double because they cannot pick up a fare in New Jersey.

Any suggestions for transport back from Bayonne in March 08 post cruise to Manhatten? Any idea on cost for taxi or limo would be appreciated thank you. Hollyanna

I would suggest looking at the above post and calling that car service...but I am not sure if they come into NJ to pick up fares.....NJ cabbies can't pick up fares in manhattan to return. (http://www.dial7.com)
