Ice skating & cancelling excursions

I have 2 questions! Is there an age limit or anything for ice skating? I will be on Liberty next week with my 5 yr old. I don't want to open my mouth about the skating if he won't be able to do it!

 

Also, can you cancel excursions once on board? Is there a penalty? I decided I wanted to cancel one but it was too late to do it online.

I don't believe there is an age limit. However, the ice shows are geared to adults. The Liberty show is done to opera. If your daughter loves to watch skating she'll be fine, but if your expecting childrens' characters you may be disappointed.

 

I've cancelled excursions onboard. It must be done 24 hours in advance.

She must have long pants and and socks, the rentals for the skates are free. The is no age limit as far as I have seen.

 

The excursion must be canceled by 24 hours before.

I think they only have open skating for 30 minutes at a time, so you need to get there when it starts. Iv heard the skates are more like boot type which has more ankle support but hard on the ankles to me, more like ski boots.
