time4sun Posted October 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2007 We are about to embark on the 3 night PNW cruise and want to know if anyone knows of a great spot on the ship that 15 of us could meet on the 1st day...the weather looks to be iffy so outside may not work! Also, did anyone see "large tables" in the dining room...we have requested to be seated together but am afraid they may divide us into 2 groups?! Another Formal/Informal night question...everyone in our group is confused as to the dress code as we've had different answers from different sources, what has your experience been?? Have you seen many tuxes or is it more like a "semi-formal" evening?? What's the latest/greatest on the casino opening between Vancouver and Nanaimo?? Thanks so much in advance!:D

Thanks so much in advance!:D Hi,:) I just returned home...literally 2:00am this morning. No tables for 15...you can have 2 eight tops next to one another. 8 and 8 would be best. Remember it will be easier for your waiter too. Dining room food and service were wonderful.:) Link them all together(your bookings) and then go see the Maitr'd after you board the ship. DeJohn did the table assignments. He was terrific! Sailaway from the Navigator Lounge. We did that on the 2nd leg... Oct 15th and it was fabulous...Music, dancing, etc......!!! No formal night on a 3 nighter but many couples did get very dressed up anyway! It was really nice to see:) suits and tuxes! And the ladies looked decked out too.....long dresses, cocktail dresses, etc.........but the guys don't have to wear tuxes..saw plenty of suits and everyone..on the 3 nighter and 4 nighter looked great! (I just did a b2b). I know the Casino was closed certain times when in Canadian waters...cannot recall exactly when but then again I didn't gamble this time. Enjoy your cruise! sunsetme Posted October 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2007 although the shops were closed, the casino was open between Victoria and Nanaimo.
more from les Posted October 24, 2007 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2007 Hi LoisR - if you still have your Celebrity Today sheets at home, could you check and let me know who the entertainers were on board Mercury..... not the main shows in the Theatre, but the combos, or pianists or singers or instrumentalists in the small lounges like Cova and Michaels etc. Much appreciated. Rare Lois R Posted October 24, 2007 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2007 Hi Les,:) sorry I didn't bring of the dailys home with me. Cova had a wonderful quartet though. They were from the Ukrane. 3 gals and a guy. I listened to them throughout the week and enjoyed it very much. A cello, 2 violins and a viola I believe. I have no idea who was in Michael's Club. I went there twice but just to say hello to the bartender and nobody was playing at those times. Maybe someone else has the daily? Have a wonderful time:)
