1995 Carnival Schedule?? Anyone

Hello Everyone,

My husband and I took an Eastern Caribbean cruise in December 1995.

It was our very first cruise, and we didnt take much notice of anything, as we just enjoyed the heck out of it. I have no record of this cruise in my files, and would like to retrace our steps.

All I recall is that it was a round trip out of San Juan, PR; we returned to San Juan on Christmas Eve; and it was a Carnival ship.

Is there anyone out there that could help me out with ship schedules from December 1995? I have searched the web for past schedules, but I havent found any websites with this information. I would like to know at least the ship we sailed on. Now that I am so much more seaworthy, I feel like an idiot for not having noted these important facts!

Thanks to anyone for any bit of assistance.

M.

Can't help for 1995 but looked in the 1991 and 1997 cruise books. Didn't see any Eastern Carib cruises from San Juan.

In 1991 the Tropical and Festivale sailed out of San Juan on a Southern Carib cruise.

The Ecstasy and Celebration sailed out of Miami on an Eastern Carib cruise with stops in San Juan.

In 1997 the Fascination and Inspiration sailed out of San Juan on a Southern Carib cruise.

The Sensation and Destiny sailed out of Miami with a stop in San Juan.

I would guess that it wasn't on the Destiny or Inspriation since these were built in 1996.

Do you remember what ship it was? Duration? I did round trip from San Juan in 1999 on the Fascination and visited St. Thomas, St. Martin, Dominica, Martinique, & Barbados for my first cruise. Are you registered on carnival.com and do you have a past guest history on there?

I believe it was either the Festivale or Fascination. The Festivale was sold in 96 to Dolphin Cruise Lines when the Inspriation entered service out of San Juan. Not sure if this helps but the Festivale was an much older ship and the Fascination is the ship that had the different mannequins located along the promenade deck.

In 1995 Christmas Eve was on a Sunday. Here's the most likely itinerary;

Perhaps the ship was Fascination?

To the OP: Once you have collected sufficient data, you need to submit it to be added to your Cruise History. You will be one cruise closer to Platinum.

If you used a TA for your cruise, contact them and see if they have any old records that can help!!

Thank you!!!!!

CarnivalKim, now that I read your schedule, that is the exact cruise we were on! Did you look up this info on a particular website? We finally were able to get a past passenger number with Carnival, though that took quite some research on their part (we have since moved several times). They were not able to dig up the actual cruise though... I must have gotten an inexperienced customer service agent.

Thank you everyone else for your informative replies.

I thought I was an experienced cruiser (mostly on Transantlantics though), but you guys all keep amazing records.

Thanks again.

We did the Fascination in 1995. San Juan/St. Thomas/Guadaloupe/Grenada/Caracas/Aruba/San Juan.

We sailed this itinerary also on the Fascination out of San Juan on New Years Eve of '95. I believe that the Fasicination was fairly new then??

In my Carnival brochure from 1995 the Festival was the ship sailing on Christmas Eve...The Fasination sailed on the 23rd...

Hi Carnival Kim,

I sailed on the Fascination on April 15 1995. Would you be able to tell me the itinerary for that trip?

And would you have an "extra" brochure from that year?

Thanks Much!!!

Joe

Carnival has a record of our family's cruises back that far, but it just lists the number of nights for those cruises under our histories. So the OP probably already has credit for that cruise.

You pulled up an 8 year old thread, and are asking something from a poster who hasn't posted in over 5 years. Your best bet might be to start a whole new thread and see where that leads.

I'm searching for something similar so I rehash an old topic instead of starting a new one.

I like to know exactly when Carnival first started cruising out of New Orleans? All I can recall is seeing the Tropicale docked at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal back in March 1995. I know that Carnival used the Tropicale to test the waters of a new cruise home port back then when she was in the fleet.

That was back when it sailed New Orleans to Tampa, then on to the Western Caribbean. You could embark at either MSY or TPA. Think that continued through the Inspiration and 2001/2002 if I remember correctly.

Shucks, I'll keep this thread going, why not?

Sailing Horizon in July, but my first Carnival cruise was in '94 on Sensation - 7 days from Miami to San Juan/St. Thomas/St. Maarten, sound familiar?

I remember the casino being a lot bigger then - it included the area that's now Club O2, I think. The ship was pretty new and of course was (Joe) Farcusian in the extreme. They played Kathie Lee on the public address at sailaway, there were lots of tuxedos and gowns, and on the second formal night, one of the appetizers in the MDR included caviar.

20 years later almost to the day I sailed Sensation again on a 4-day. A lot had changed but not everything - she's still as purple as ever and those fiber optic trees are still a hoot.

Good times!

The Sensation was my first cruise as well in 1998! I was hooked immediately! It was Spring Break and I was 21 (almost 22) years old traveling with my best friend and my sister. We had so much fun (just wish Cheers existed back then...would have saved me quite a bit of money LOL)! I remember the Welcome Aboard Rum Swizzle party in the casino...that was a really fun way to start the cruise. We met some great people. I'm sure we would still be in touch if Facebook had been around then! I haven't been on a Fantasy class ship in over 10 years, but have recently booked the Paradise for next April to Cuba. Can't wait.
