Best time for Sparrow Cove tour in Falklands

Princess offers tours to Sparrow Cove leaving every 30 minutes, starting at about 9 am.

 

I'm not the earliest riser and and have booked a tour that leaves at 11:30am. Do we risk not seeing as many penguins if we leave this late?

We went in the early afternoon and it was fine. Actually most of the adults were in the water gathering food for the baby penguins and what we mostly saw was the baby penguins and I can assure you that it was almost wall to wall penguins and if we didn't know I would have thought they were the adults.

 

It can get very windy there and cool with the wind so dress in layers (jacket, fleece or sweater, hat and gloves).
