Falmouth adventures?

We were there last spring-We went to Pendennis castle in the morning and then strolled the town in the afternoon. Nice seaside village. Stopped and had clotted cream with crumpets and tea. Ate some pasties for lunch. Hit a couple of pubs.

We actually enjoyed a quiet day on our own. From the tender pier we walked through the quaint town and went to the ferry pier (its on the opposite side of town from the tender pier) where we caught an old wooden ferry boat over to St Mawes. We spent a couple of hours strolling around this picturesque village and than returned to Falmouth where we had a delightful lunch.

Ahhh - clotted cream and pasties - 2 Cornish experiences that everyone needs to try at some point - they are delicious.

The 3rd experience that should not be missed is Scrumpy . . . .

Hi Hank,:)

We'll be in Falmouth in July. Could you tell me how far it was across town to the ferry dock? How often did the ferry cross? How much was the price of ticket?

We are going with NCL and they have a tour with a river steamer that goes to St Mawes and stops at a hotel for the same goodies you ate. Price $99.00 each which I believe is a bit pricey.

Would appreciate your response.

Thanks,
