LHP Posted November 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2007 You may want to check into the Holiday Inn at the airport. I think (not positive) that they not only offer a shuttle from the airport, but ON CERTAIN DAYS (Sun - Thursday) they offer a FREE shuttle to the port. Wennfred Posted November 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2007 and let me say the holiday inn port miami is completely full. Yepper, when dealing with Miami and the Holiday Inn, you need to book that hotel 8 months out to a year. Your best bet is to keep checking, try this website: Cruise Port Hotels . I also chat on other forums but this one has fun people and most of them make me laugh. I work lots of over time, many 16 hour shifts so when I do get home I like to relax and read some of the crazy threads on here. By the way where are you from? Wennfred Posted November 2, 2007 #9 Share Posted November 2, 2007 thanks , Im not really having trouble finding a room(other than holiday inn) just having trouble deciding what is my best option What ever option you decide, make sure you still fly in a day earily, even if it has to be on a park bench (Bayside Market) :D
Rirruto Posted November 2, 2007 #10 Share Posted November 2, 2007 The Radisson is available that night for $94. Even if they don't offer a free shuttle (not sure), a taxi or shuttle for a fee cannot be that expensive since the Port of Miami is less than 2 miles away. Kurbanfan Posted November 2, 2007 #11 Share Posted November 2, 2007 thanks , Im not really having trouble finding a room(other than holiday inn) just having trouble deciding what is my best option Then if that's the case check out the Intercontinental Hotel. It is across the street from the Holiday Inn and much nicer. Right on the water across from the port. 5 minute taxi ride to the port. Bayside a water walkway away. Try priceline and save some money. NCTribeFan Posted November 2, 2007 #13 Share Posted November 2, 2007 If you haven't already done so, check the East Coast Departures board. There's tons of good info there about hotels, locations, taxis and shuttles, restaurants, shopping, etc.
gusandgidgetsmom Posted November 2, 2007 #14 Share Posted November 2, 2007 The holiday inn by the airport--one that has the shuttle to the port--is not a greta HI. We stayed with points one time and wished I could ask for my points back!! Try the Intercontinental as pay the 10.00 taxi fee.
firefly333 Posted November 3, 2007 #15 Share Posted November 3, 2007 I would not wait much longer, starting about Thanksgiving high season starts in S. Florida where the snow birds come down and the population doubles. You need to lock in something soon. I used to live in S. Florida.

bjkeen Posted November 5, 2007 #17 Share Posted November 5, 2007 The Hampton is very close to the port and I thought it was excellent. Breakfast is included in your cost and you can have free shuttle service. I was very pleased with the fact that I could park my vehicle there (for a small fee) and get shuttled free to the ship. They also came and picked us up after I called at disembarkation.
